Omnicam
Terms of Service
Last updated 17 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Omnicam (India) for the Omnicam apps, the Omnicam hub software and Omnicam subscriptions (together, “Omnicam”). By installing or using Omnicam you agree to them.
1. What Omnicam does
Omnicam is video management software for cameras you own or are authorised to use. The Omnicam hub runs on your own computer, Raspberry Pi, NAS or server. It connects to your cameras with credentials you provide, records video, and saves it to storage you choose and control, such as Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, an S3-compatible bucket or a local disk. Omnicam does not store your video on its own servers.
2. Lawful and responsible use
You are responsible for how your cameras are used. You agree to:
- only connect cameras that you own or are authorised to access, on property you own, occupy or manage;
- follow the laws where you live on recording, privacy, data protection and consent, including giving notice to people who may be recorded where the law requires it;
- not use Omnicam to record people in places where they expect privacy (such as bathrooms or bedrooms of others), to track or monitor anyone without their consent, or for harassment, stalking or any unlawful purpose;
- not attempt to access cameras, accounts or hubs that are not yours, or to reverse engineer, resell or interfere with Omnicam services.
We may suspend accounts or licences used in breach of this section.
3. Your account, hub and keys
You are responsible for keeping your devices, pairing codes, cloud accounts and recovery key safe. Omnicam encrypts cloud uploads end to end; if you lose your recovery key, we cannot recover encrypted footage for you.
4. Subscriptions, trial and billing
- Free trial. Each new hub includes a 3-day free trial of the Pro plan. After the trial, a paid plan is required to keep using the apps.
- Plans. Plans differ by number of cameras, sites and features, as shown on our pricing page. Add-ons extend plan limits.
- Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until cancelled. You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Payments. Purchases on our website are processed by our payment partner acting as merchant of record, which may show on your statement and handles applicable taxes. Purchases inside the iOS or Android app are billed by Apple or Google under their terms.
- Price changes. We will give at least 30 days’ notice of a price change to an existing subscription, which applies from your next renewal.
Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
5. Third-party services and cameras
Omnicam works with cameras and storage services made by other companies. We do not control them, and their availability, firmware, APIs and terms may change. Brand names are trademarks of their owners; Omnicam is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
6. No emergency service
Omnicam is not a professional monitoring or alarm service and does not contact emergency services. Alerts can be delayed or missed due to network, power, camera or provider issues. Do not rely on Omnicam as your only safety measure.
7. Disclaimers and liability
Omnicam is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost footage, or losses caused by your cameras, network, storage provider or misuse. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be excluded.
8. Changes and termination
We may update these terms; material changes will be notified in the app or by email. You can stop using Omnicam at any time. Your footage stays in your own storage either way.
